Writing
I specialize in writing about culture and lifestyle, health, the outdoors, energy and environment.  But my newspaper and organization experience has made me a versatile feature and news writer.

My Day Trip Destination/Cape Cod Days articles for Bay State Parent magazine received the gold award from Parenting Publications of America for the Family Fun category in 2006. In 2007 I contributed to Bay State Parent's Parents' Choice Approved award; and I contributed to Bay State Parent being named Best Parenting Magazine in North America in 2008 by Suburban Newspapers of America.

Journalism isn't all I do.  My copywriting and photography skills enhance organization brochures, interpretive signs, narrative research reports, op-ed pieces, grant proposals and other projects where communication counts but organization staff just don't have the time.
